About Depression Treatment

Depression flattens sleep, appetite, concentration, and interest long before anyone calls it an illness. Treatment here addresses all of it — mood, routine, and daily function — rather than muting symptoms alone.

Most plans combine therapy with medication when indicated. When two adequate trials have not worked, TMS and ketamine are available in the same practice.

Who it helps

Persistent low mood and flat affect

Loss of interest, energy, or motivation

Sleep and appetite disruption

Depression that has not responded to prior treatment

What to expect

01
Assessment with severity scales

A baseline measure so change over time is visible rather than subjective.

02
Combined plan

Therapy, medication, and behavioural routine work chosen to fit your severity and preference.

03
Escalation if needed

If response stalls, we discuss TMS or ketamine without referring you elsewhere.

Frequently asked

Therapy often shows movement in four to six weeks; medication typically two to six. We review at set points rather than waiting indefinitely.

That is common and it changes the plan, not the prognosis. Treatment-resistant depression is a particular focus of this practice.

No. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency room.
